| From: Priyanka, Triwave Solutions Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role : Applications Developer Web (JAVA) - Senior(Onsite) Work Location : Onsite(Lincoln,Nebrasaka) Duration : 12 Months(Extendable) Payrate : 50-55$ Per Hour The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Web Development Team requires a full-stack developer to work on both new development projects and ongoing support of web-based systems for various customers within Nebraska State Government. This position will report to the Web Applications Development Supervisor at the Office of CIO. The developer will receive direction from the lead of the project, or directly from customers. The developer will plan, analyze, design, and develop for multiple applications for multiple customers. The developer will preferably have project management skills. The ability to communicate with technical team members, business users, and management is required. Java, Programming & Testing: MUST HAVE the following: (Note: only count towards experience if used on a previous or current client development project.) At least 5 years Java At least 5 years software development experience At least 2 years of Eclipse IDE Responsible for performing, and providing assistance in, the following activities: Develop and debug application code Design java classes Keep all applications using current technology, upgrade when necessary. Conduct unit, integration, and customer acceptance testing Prepare code and application documentation Front-End Development: MUST HAVE the following: (Note: only count towards experience if used on a previous or current client development project.) At least 5 years HTML5 At least 2 years extensive UI development using CSS, JavaScript, JSF Relational Database: MUST HAVE the following: (Note: only count towards experience if used on a previous or current client development project.) At least 2 years working with Microsoft SQL Databases (v2016-v2019), SQL, DB2 or Oracle At least 5 years working with relational databases. Preferably Microsoft SQL Databases (v2016+), SQL, DB2 or Oracle Responsible for performing, or providing assistance in, the following activities: Develop and/or implement overall business design Data structure and data definition Logical and Physical database design Design and implement complex normalized relational databases Skills: MUST HAVE the following: (Note: only count towards experience if used on a previous or current client development project.) At least 2 years JSF and PrimeFaces (or similar) At least 1 year Hibernate, Ajax, jQuery and JSP At least 2 years experience with Linux distributions including, but not limited to: SUSE and Red Hat. Systems Analysis: Must have analysis and design skills Preferred to have a minimum of 3 years experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and workflow including, but not limited to: Estimates Target date planning Work plan development and monitoring Stakeholder communication Quality Assurance Development methods/techniques Testing methods/techniques Implementation planning and execution General duties: Consult with peers and subordinates on application issues Use application development tools and utilities as appropriate Assist and mentor peers and subordinates as appropriate Communication and Organization skills: MUST HAVE strong written and verbal communication skills Develop business problem definition Accomplish information collection, analysis and organization Prepare economic evaluation and estimates of time/effort required on projects Prepare solution development, recommendations and evaluation criteria General Position Description: Under general direction, responsible for all phases of development and maintenance on assigned computer applications; communicates with business analysts to determine system requirements; researches system enhancements and problems; performs analysis and design of computer applications; performs programming and testing; performs related work as assigned. Candidate works directly with various levels of business and technical staff to determine sound technical solutions for business requirements. Candidate designs, codes, tests and documents web applications. Candidate has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications development and the development technologies utilized. Candidate provides production support for small and large, simple and complex applications including the ability to resolve problems in constrained timeframes. Candidate may be responsible for mentoring less experienced team members. Candidate may lead small-to-medium projects or components of larger projects. Candidate has strong organization, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience must be current within the last year. Candidate MUST have strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate will be OnCall on a rotating schedule, but also may be called into work on evenings and/or weekends if the project requires immediate attention. OnCall rotating schedule. The webteam has a primary and secondary OnCall phone. Those in the OnCall pool rotate through a schedule of carrying the phone for a month at a time. Currently it is about 2-3 months per person per year. OnCall is responsible for carrying the phone 24x7, answering the phone 24x7, and either contacting others or fixing the issue themselves if it is an application they are familiar with. Historically, OnCall staff receives 1-2 calls per month. If the developer OnCall is able to work this issue on their own, they can do so remotely.
