Storage Administrator Premium Washington, DC 20433 Onsite 8+Months Contract Passport number mandatory at a time of submission for H1/EAD candidates Immediate/Phone Hire !!!!!!!!!! Selection Criteria: Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Storage and Backup at enterprise level environment. Must have an extensive knowledge on Brocade SAN and Cisco SAN. Expert knowledge in debugging SAN related issues. Expert knowledge in SANNav, Fabric vision and Cisco SAN tools. Expert knowledge on configuring PURE storage, debugging pure storage issues and setting up safe mode snapshots. Knowledge of Ransomware related protection technologies. Experience in at least one of the following IT areas: Unix, Windows, VMware. Expert knowledge in design and administration of Dell/EMC IDPA, Avamar, Data Domain and Networker and DPA reporting Good experience with Dell/EMC Data protection suites Extensive experience with NDMP, CIFS, NFS, deduplication and compression. Knowledge of SAN and NAS constructs (LUNs, Aggregation, Volume / Filesystem, Replication, Snapshots, QTrees / Virtual Volumes). Strong understanding of TCP/IP communications Strong documentation skills Strong interpersonal skills and willing to be a team player Outstanding security related analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems and analyze the root cause. Some Experience developing code in at least one high-level programing language and in automation/testing via scripting/programing (e.g. Python, unix Shell, PowerShell). Some Experience in Splunk query and building dashboard. Responsibilities: Manage BROCADE and Cisco SAN switches. Expert knowledge in debugging and knowledge o SAN debugging tools. Expert knowledge in Pure storage array and troubleshooting Knowledge in Dell IDPA backup solution Knowledge in Networker tape backup solution. Knowledge in Dell DPA reporting tool. Knowledge of ransomware related protection in storage and backup area. Function as a resource and expert in all data storage needs and complex architectures required by mission critical applications. Work as part of a team to engineer, implement and operate scalable, highly available systems on-premises and in the Cloud. This position will need to be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the storage/backup systems for identifying any security holes and taking corrective actions as needed.
