Position: Network Support Engineer Location: Riverview, MI, Sellersville,PA or Lexington,KY Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: As a Level 2 Engineer Support Technician, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues, handling advanced system configurations, and providing escalated support. You will also assist with data center operations, virtualization, and other desktop support tasks to ensure the seamless operation of our clients' IT environments. IMPORTANT: This role has 4 open positions and requires ON-SITE support in the following locations 1. Sellersville, Pennsylvania 2. Riverview, Michigan 3. Lexington, Kentucky 4. Aurora, Canada Key Responsibilities: Advanced Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex hardware and software issues reported by end-users, utilizing your in-depth technical knowledge and expertise. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to identify the underlying causes of recurring or critical issues, working towards permanent resolutions. System Configuration and Maintenance: Manage advanced system configurations, server maintenance, and infrastructure management tasks. Escalation Handling: Receive escalated tickets from Level 1 support and provide solutions that couldn't be resolved at the initial support level. Remote Access and Troubleshooting Tools: Utilize higher privileges and remote access capabilities to perform detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting tasks. Vendor Liaison: Act as an intermediary when problems are related to third-party software or hardware vendors, facilitating the resolution process. Knowledge Base Creation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of our knowledge base by documenting solutions to common issues and sharing best practices. Diagnosing and Resolving Network Connectivity Issues: Identify and resolve complex network connectivity issues, including troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls. Data Center Support: Assist in data center operations, including server maintenance and infrastructure management. Virtualization: Contribute to virtualization tasks, including configuring and maintaining virtualized systems. Advanced Software Support: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced software applications and databases. Audio-Visual Support: Assist in setting up and supporting advanced audio-visual equipment for meetings and presentations. User Account Management: Assist with advanced user account management, access permissions, and Active Directory management. System Audits and Maintenance: Conduct advanced system audits and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and security. Documentation and Analysis: Document support requests and resolutions, analyzing them to identify trends and improve support processes. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level 2 support role with a strong focus on network support. Proficiency in network troubleshooting, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Advanced knowledge of systems administration, server maintenance, and infrastructure management. Familiarity with data center operations and virtualization. Strong Active Directory and user account management skills. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA, VMware VCP) are a plus.
