Note: The first interview is video and the second interview is face-to-face at the client's location, and they will provide travel expenses for the interview. Role: AS/400 Administrator. Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite). Duration: Long Term. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Perform IBM iSeries administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, software installation, configuration, custom development and security. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups. Execute performance analysis and system tuning for optimum performance. Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution and follow-up for system , applications, and customer problems. Recommend changes in system and application maintenance and standards. Install, upgrade, configure, test and maintain 3rd party software applications. Responsible for System Backup Strategies and Tape Management. Prepares and maintains technical documentation pertaining to systems operations. Participates in the Disaster Recovery and High Availability testing.
