Description: Seeking a senior-level Windows Systems Administrator with experience in an enterprise environment to help support a network integration project. We will be migrating existing servers to new IP ranges for multiple networks at multiple sites. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience: Education and Training - bachelors degree in computer science or related field with 8-10 years of experience in IT as a Systems Administrator. Professional certifications such as MCSE or similar experience. Professional Skills Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, be able to coordinate well with multiple teams, and have the ability to perform analysis of the existing environment to devise a detailed plan with the steps required to complete each migration. Platforms Must have significant experience supporting Windows servers. The servers are primarily Windows 2012 and 2016, but there may be older servers involved. DNS and Networking Will need to have a thorough understanding of how a Windows server communicates over a network, including interactions with other DNS providers (e.g. Infoblox) and the ability to update the IP configuration and other network components. Scripting and Automation Tools Need to be proficient with PowerShell and other scripting languages to help automate the migration. Should have experience working with code repositories such as GitLab/GitHub. Experience with BMC BladeLogic/TSSA or similar deployment automation platforms. Change Management Must have experience working within a Change Management process. Will need to write change request tickets and follow them through the approval process. ServiceNow experience desired. Availability Will need to work a flexible schedule to perform changes on weekends and after-hours. -- Keywords: information technology |
