Role: Senior Controls Engineer Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) Duration: Long Term Responsibilities Design and develop control software in MATLAB/Simulink for vehicle state management and/or power management Coordinate development needs with other departments Take ownership of the software you develop through testing and validation, both on lab bench and in vehicle Work with embedded/integration/cross-functional engineers to implement, test, debug and calibrate control algorithms Provide guidance in software development to other team members Interact with a highly skilled team in a fast-paced environment Provide support for troubleshooting all control system related issues Qualifications Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering 3+ years of experience building embedded controls software Strong knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink Experience in developing control algorithms Direct experience in vehicle-level controls design in battery management, charging systems and state management for electric or hybrid vehicles.
