Oracle DBA(10+ years) Location: Madison, WI Client: State of WI Work: Mostly remote with occasional on-site work - Required to live in the state of Wisconsin OR relocate to Wisconsin. Visa: USC, GC, EADs only Employment Type: 6+ month contract; possibility of extension Interview Mode: Phone and web-based interviews Interview Process: Microsoft Teams with live video feed. MUST provide three (3) business references for the interview(One reference must be a supervisory level) Responsibilities: Maintain a collaborative team and assist with managing high-priority operational work, setting expectations for projects and initiatives for the Bureau. Work with partners and stakeholders to maintain a stable Oracle 19c multitenant environment on Exadata. Utilize expert knowledge in Oracle Management tools (OEM, SQL Developer, PLSQL scripting, Erwin Model Mart) for database management. Analyze and model data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s). Design, develop, amend, optimize, and certify database schema design to meet system(s) requirements. Understand Oracle Star Schema and Oracle data Warehouse environments. Implement and maintain database designs, create database objects (tables, indexes, etc.). Create Shell scripts and packages, provide recommendations for performance monitoring and tuning. Understand complexities of change management in Software Development Life Cycles. Provide insight into strategic data manipulation. Develop database level monitoring for application-related issues. Proactively diagnose and resolve application SQL or Oracle performance issues in collaboration with application developers. Required Skills: 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience , working with application development teams in multitenant environments running Oracle 19c. Expert knowledge and experience in data modelling, processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s). Design, develop, amend, optimize, and certify database schema design to meet system(s) requirements. Expertise in creating and modifying Shell scripts and packages for performance monitoring and tuning. Experience with enterprise class applications containing sensitive and regulatory information such as IRS Pub 1075 and PII (Personally Identifiable Information). Desired Skills: Working knowledge of data management tools including Erwin Model Mart, Business Objects, Informatica, and TOAD. Experience with applications used by the state of Wisconsin, such as eWiSACWIS, KIDS, and CARES. 15+ years of DBA work experience. BS in computer science or related engineering field (preferred).
