From: Vijay Chepyala, Talent Group [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: Business Analyst Location: Seattle-Dexter (Onsite from Day one) Duration: 12+ months Contract Position Responsibilities Exceptional communication and business analysis skills to Understand scientific lab workflows/process in Cell Therapy Research Translate scientific workflows/process into Process diagrams and User Stories for software configuration/development Conduct training sessions to train scientists in new functionalities/worklfows in the ELN/LIMS systems Develop training content and support trouble shooting of software functionality for end users Qualifications BS or MS scientific degree, in one of the following Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computational Sciences, Biomedical Informatics, Research Informatics, or related areas with experience in relevant informatics/IT platforms and solutions Desired Experience The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience working as a business analyst to translate scientific processes/workflows to digital solutions for laboratory scientists. Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira) to write scientific user stories based on business analysis and use cases Experience with applications such as Lucid charts, Vizio etc. to draw lab processes/workflows Must have scientific understanding/ familiarity of Cell Therapy research processes (molecular biology, cell sciences, protein purification, flow cytometry etc.) Familiarity and experience with Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Benchling preferred Experience in business analysis in relation to management of biosample and biospecimen management using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Understanding of scientific metadata, ontologies used for scientific data, hierarchical and semantic modeling of scientific data Familiarity with FAIR data in scientific research Experience in working with software development teams using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and Agile software development Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization Excellent written and verbal communications skill Key Business Partners Immuno-oncology and Cell Therapy (IOCT) R&ED Scientists Other Stakeholders for R&ED IT projects Enterprise Information Management Enterprise Architecture R&ED Digital Capability Managers (DCMs) responsible for implementation of IT projects Project and Portfolio Management |
