Job Title: Kafka Admin Location: Owings Mills, MD 21117 (Hybrid Working Model) Duration: 6 Months Job Description: Mandatory skill Expertise in installation of Confluent Kafka Platform on AWS EC2 instance using terraform/Jenkins or automated scripts or any other DEV OPS Tool Handle all environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning, and ongoing monitoring (Confluent Kafka, Kafka Connect, Apache Spark). Kafka management Access Control List, Simple Authentication and Security Layer Components to lock down and secure a cluster, broker security, topic security Topic management (creating, deleting, enable, disable, monitor). Confluent Connector management (installing connector plugin, creating, delete, enable, disable, monitor) Partitions reassignment to even distribute load between all brokers Implement Kafka connectors to move data between systems Onboarding of producers and consumers. Coordinate with application dev and Support teams to resolve access issues. Support critical issues in kafka and Microservices Responsible for Kafka tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery, replication, and troubleshooting. Creating a mirroring of Kafka Cluster brokers, broker sizing, topic sizing, hardware sizing, performance monitoring, broker security, topic security, consumer/producer access management (ACL). High availability cluster setup, maintenance, creating topics, setup redundancy cluster, Capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring Upgrade, Installation, Patching and Deployment for Kafka Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Ensure availability for Kafka brokers, zookeepers, schema registry, control center under defined SLA for different client environments.
