This is an onsite position. Complete Description: Client is looking for a desktop support technician as part of the IT Help Desk. This position will serve staff by providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 to staff and leadership. The work includes troubleshooting technical issues, communicating with non-technical users, and escalating issues where appropriate. This position will also assist in installing software, imaging computers, and other related tasks as assigned.This role will work closely with others in IT. Communication will be essential to execute work in a timely manner. 1 to 3 years of experience, relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment, typically reports to a project leader or manager. Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience 4 years of relevant experience and preferred education of 2 year degree or equivalent technical study Required 4 Years Experienced in PC (desktop/laptop/thin client) support both desk side and remotely Required 4 Years Windows 7/10 installation, patching, and troubleshooting Required 4 Years Ability to troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 2019 Required 4 Years Windows networking TCP/IP Configuration and troubleshooting Required 4 Years Escalate issues to next level support and or management accordingly Required 4 Years Ability to troubleshoot issues with Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome Required 4 Years Demonstrated experience providing support with remote tools Required 4 Years Ability to install and troubleshoot issues with a variety of in-house developed and 3rd party software Desired Troubleshoot desktop and network printers issues Desired Experienced in Google Workspace products Required Experience in support of the Microsoft Office 365 of products Required Experience in Apple device support (iPad, iPhone) Required Thorough understanding of Microsoft Active Directory client side Required Experience with hard drive encryption preference for Bitlocker and McAfee Required Ability to modify system registry Desired Industry certification (A+, Network+, MCP, etc) Highly desired -- Keywords: information technology Iowa |
