Location: Tallahassee, FL Duration: 6 months with possible extension of up to 2 additional years MOI: Skype Please note that prior FLORIDA PALM project experience is HIGHLY preferred and PMP is mandatory Requirement PLEASE READ: The Florida Department of Legal Affairs, Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is looking for a Senior Project Manager that will be focused on the transition to Florida PALM. The Contractor will spend most of the time consulting directly with the Director and Staff of the Division of Administration, and key information technology personnel, and a Senior Business Analyst assigned to the project. The Contractor will coordinate and support the Florida PALM Division functional activities and understand their business needs. The Contractor will work closely with information technology personnel to understand the financial accounting data conversions and interfaces. The Contractor will attend all Florida PALM meetings and ensure all deliverables and required reports meet deadlines. The Contractor will serve as the OAGs primary contact to the Florida PALM Project Management Office on all project management issues. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate requirements in technical discussions with management, accounting and finance personnel, and information technology personnel to ensure the smooth transition to the Florida PALM requirements for the OAG. This position is onsite. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Senior Project Manager role. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Previous experience with financial accounting systems. Basic understanding of the Florida PALM Project. Demonstrated organizational skills in terms of project management, meeting facilitation and definition of solutions with the business. Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to articulate business solutions. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams to develop and configure solutions. Strong competency in basic Microsoft 365 applications as well as Visio, Access, and MS Project. Ability to work with Finance & Accounting teams to coordinate the gathering and understanding detailed functional requirements. Ability to work closely with IT teams to ensure interface designs are aligned with business objectives.
