Job Title: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Location: 100% Remote Visa: Any Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. As a GCP SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to design, build, and maintain our GCP environment. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and systems on Google Cloud Platform. Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to the availability, performance, and security of our GCP services. Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve platform-related issues. Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our GCP environment. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date with GCP best practices and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to our infrastructure. Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or similar role, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Deep understanding of GCP services and architecture, including Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Networking. Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration, networking, and security principles. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certifications, such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer. Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Familiarity with infrastructure security best practices and tools. Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
