Job Description: As a Tableau Administrator and Data Visualization Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining visually engaging and interactive dashboards using Tableau. Additionally, you will administer Tableau Server, ensuring its availability, security, and optimal performance. Dashboard Development : Create interactive dashboards in Tableau to effectively present data insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into actionable visualizations. Tableau Server Administration: Install, configure, and oversee Tableau Server along with associated components. Monitor server health, performance, and capacity. Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau Server-related issues. User Training and Support: Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users on Tableau best practices. Provide technical support and assistance to users facing Tableau-related challenges. Data Integration and Preparation: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data sources are prepared and optimized for Tableau visualization. Integrate data from various sources into Tableau for seamless reporting. Security and Governance: Implement security protocols and policies for Tableau Server. Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations. Performance Optimization: Fine-tune Tableau dashboards and reports for efficient performance. Identify and rectify performance bottlenecks. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation related to Tableau dashboards, data sources, and configurations. Generate reports and documentation to track dashboard usage and performance. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven expertise in Tableau dashboard development and Tableau Server administration. Proficiency in Tableau Desktop for creating interactive visualizations. Strong grasp of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and Cloud Computing (e.g., Snowflake). Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred Skills: Tableau Desktop and Server certification. Experience with Tableau Online and Tableau Prep. Knowledge of advanced Tableau features like calculated fields, sets, and parameters. Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
