Requirements:

Availability to work at the Clients site in Golden, CO (required);

Experience as Technical Project Manager (5+ years required, 10+ years preferred);

Experience in K12 or education organizations;

Experience using a PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) platform (preferred);

Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation, or equivalent project management certification (ex: Certified Scrum Master) (preferred);

Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related degree, or equivalent experience (required);

Master's Degree in relevant discipline (preferred).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Manage the successful end-to-end delivery of their assigned project;

Deliver the project full scope defined in the project charter. If the PM needs to request a change to that projects approved scope, the PM is responsible to follow change control process;

Ensure the on-time completion of project work. PM will work with resource managers & vendor partners to collaboratively develop a project plan, including WBS and schedule. PM will monitor completion of project tasks and will regularly update the project schedule throughout the projects lifecycle;

Publish regular project status updates, according to internal processes. PM is broadly responsible to manage project communications, and to oversee completion of tasks within the projects Comms plan. Every PM is responsible to embody the philosophy of 'no surprises'. To this end, PM is responsible to proactively make leaders aware of project risks / issues / decisions / actions that may impact them or those that may jeopardize successful delivery of the project solution;

Continually identify and manage project risks & issues. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, building a culture within the project team based upon trust & mutual respect, which allows / encourages teammates to share their concerns. This responsibility includes actively soliciting risks/issues from the project leadership team and listening to concerns raised by the project team and stakeholders. The PM is responsible to 1) proactively identify project risks, 2) resolve those project risks within their span of control, and 3) clearly escalate project risks outside their span of control, within a timely manner;

Provide coaching to project team members, and to resolve conflicts that are within their sphere of influence. PM will have no direct reports and will partner with resource managers to resolve any staffing issues that may arise;

Demonstrate deep knowledge of project management best practices and will collaborate with fellow PMs to advance the organizational maturity;

Facilitate and coordinate project-related meetings, including initiation, planning, execution, status, and closure meetings;

Monitor progress and make adjustments when needed, as well as measure project performance and identify areas for improvement;

Act as liaison between technical and non-technical personnel;

Other duties as assigned.
