The resource will help the client modernize going forward but they will also be tasked with keeping the lights on with what they have now SKILLS: DataDog, PowerBI/PowerApps/Snowflake Title: Data Architect We are looking for a talented BI, Analytics & Data Architect Lead . In this position, you will work with others to design, develop, operationalize, and socialize the BI strategy, roadmap, and architecture. You will collaborate with our partners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into BI solutions and analytics use cases. Additionally, you are responsible for modeling complex analytical problems, discovering insights and identifying opportunities using various visualization tools and techniques. You should be proficient at integrating and preparing large, varied datasets and semantics models and analytical solutions. This position is fully remote . In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: In this exciting role, you will have a strategic impact defining and implementing data architecture and strategies for longer term focus while also balancing the immediate needs. You will focus on key requirement areas such as the strategic direction, data architecture, business processes, data modeling, data management, and governance for the determination of a Data Platform that will support our BI, Analytics, and more. Key Responsibilities Stays current with emerging technologies as it relates to data and analytics Participate in data strategy and road map exercises, data architecture definition, business intelligence/data warehouse solution and platform selection, design and blueprinting, and implementation ensuring effectiveness and efficiency Work through all stages of a data solution life cycle: analyze/profile data, create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs, architect and design ETL, reporting, and analytics solutions, profiling and archiving. Develop and implement proactive monitoring and alert mechanism for data issues. Identify risks and opportunities of potential logic and data issues within the data environment Collaborate with the Info Sec team to develop security and authentication standards for BI solutions across the organization. Establishes and maintains data standards, best practices, processes, procedures and establishes and maintains capability roadmaps. To be successful in this role you will need the following: Architecture, Data Modeling and Data Mapping experience Data Quality practices and techniques College, university, or equivalent degree preferred or equivalent work experience in relevant technical discipline. Experience in Big Data datasets modeling and Data Warehouse data modeling in a cloud environment is preferred Experience in defining and developing reusable data architecture deliverables, artifacts and building blocks Must be well versed in business processes and understand organization complexities. Ability to communicate effectively through data story telling leveraging data visualizations and other means. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
