Test Case Design: Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate the functionality, performance, and security of Databricks' software products. Test Execution: Execute test cases and conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks to improve testing efficiency and repeatability. Defect Management: Identify and document software defects, track defects throughout the defect lifecycle, and work with development teams to resolve issues. Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor key quality metrics and performance indicators to ensure that software quality standards are met. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to align on quality goals and address issues. Security and Compliance Testing: Ensure that Databricks' products adhere to security and compliance standards, conducting security testing when necessary. Release Support: Assist with release management and verification to ensure that software releases meet quality standards and are ready for production. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, test cases, and testing results. Qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and testing tools. Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools. Knowledge of big data technologies and analytics platforms, which are relevant to Databricks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. An understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure Cloud can be beneficial.
