Position: Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location: Hybrid in Hartford CT

Duration: 6+ months

The developer will work closely with stakeholders and team members in designing and delivering solutions within the platform, developing enhancements to various ServiceNow and custom applications, developing and modifying service catalog items, creating and maintaining the teams process documents and providing general ServiceNow administrative duties. The developer will also be assisting with troubleshooting and resolving incidents, as well as researching ServiceNow functionality as required.

Responsibilities:

Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform following best practices 

Configure and develop enhancements to various applications within ServiceNow such as Service Catalog, Incident, Change, Problem, CSM, GRC, Vulnerability, BCM, SamPro, Portal, Workspaces, Asset Management 

Proven ability to automate business requests utilizing Service Catalog, Flow Designer/IntegrationHub and workflow/orchestration

Utilize Agile methodology and the ServiceNow Agile application 

Provide functional and performance testing

Perform weekly releases into Production 

Establish and manage integrations in ServiceNow utilizing ServiceNow table APIs, scripted Web Services and custom REST APIs 

Import data into ServiceNow utilizing Scheduled Jobs, Flows, Import Sets and Transform maps

Provide custom application development

Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each

Research and apply available ServiceNow hotfixes, patches and upgrades while ensuring configurations and customizations function as expected

Manage incidents/problems related to the ServiceNow platform 

Develop and manage operational metrics reporting and dashboards 

Provide guidance to process owners and users

Qualifications:

Onboarding of new teams and users 

Moving development work, code fixes, new work from one environment to another. 

Performing weekly releases 

Responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and delivering solutions for the ServiceNow platform 

Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide best practice advice on how to enhance the ServiceNow implementation 

Establishes and manages system integrations in ServiceNow 

Experience with Ansible, Powershell, Terraform, Cloud Formation and/or Python 

Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced java scripting of each 

Researches and applies available ServiceNow hotfixes, patches and upgrades while ensuring configurations and customization's function as expected 

Manage incidents/problems related to the ServiceNow platform 

Develops and manages service portal and catalog items  

Develop and manage operational metrics reporting and dashboards 

Experience with Performance Analytics, Service Portal and custom integrations 

Ensures that service requests for new users, reports and other requests related to ServiceNow work are prioritized and completed 

Develops business rule workflow customization's in ServiceNow 

Identifies, analyzes and resolves data and system issues of intermediate complexity. 

Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform 

Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow, administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations and custom application development 

Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes 

Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues 

Provide on-call 24/7 Incident Response as required 

Develops, validates and executes comprehensive test plans. 

A minimum of 5-6 years with developing in ServiceNow 

The ideal candidate should have experience administering other systems, creating and maintain process documents. 

Fundamental understanding of IT service management and the ITIL business processes.
