Key responsibilities as Db2z DBA: - Executing DDL and DML requests for Application teams and business users in production, test, and development environments. -Develop scripts ( JCL, REXX) to manage, maintain, and provide reporting on vital database activities and execution of jobs -Replication setup to replicate data across different DB2 subsystems - Database and SQL performance monitoring techniques for tablespace and index optimization, Omegamon for Db2 and Query Monitor - Review of Db2 package access paths , hints -Working knowledge of Db2 utilities -Analysis of data growth , capacity planning and maintenance activities -Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies. -Setting up tables and data synchronization in IDAA - Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation -Designing, developing, implementing, and providing operation support of database security. -Preparing disaster recovery (DR) documentation and participating in DR activities to ensure database recovery at the DR site is within set Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO). -Automation of routine tasks -Planning and execution of Db2 software upgrade activities Required Qualifications : 10+ years of experience as DBA for Db2z, Db2 Data Sharing , IIDR ( SQL rep and Qrep), IDAA Preferred Qualifications: MQ, Zowe and Admin foundation for DB2 , IDMS , ServiceNow Education : High School Diploma/GED plus work experience in lieu of Bachelors Degree WFH\\Office : Preferable in Hartford office .
