Candidates should be local to the DMV area, capable of prompt commuting to the data centers within a few hours' notice. Job Description : Purpose: As a Network Engineer, the primary responsibilities encompass the design, availability, performance, security, capacity planning, and license management of the Network & Firewalls Infrastructure. This role requires an understanding and oversight of multi-cloud (Azure/AWS) connectivity for primary and secondary data centers. The position mandates the necessary experience and technical skills to manage the installation, configuration, and support of network hardware, firewall security, and associated software. Successful candidates should be adept in troubleshooting, possess effective communication skills, and collaborate seamlessly with various technical teams, clients, and vendors on complex infrastructure designs and troubleshooting. Essential Functions: Overseeing the network infrastructure supporting internal business clients, members, and providers across 20 locations, ensuring system availability at 99.99%. Managing the infrastructure for business-critical applications and ensuring support for over 250 applications including Claims Processing, Enrollment, Financial and Portal websites. Supervising a network spanning 20 locations consisting of data center hubs and remote branches. Experience with Palo Alto firewall deployments in a hybrid environment, F5, and cloud-based (Azure and AWS) load balancing platforms. Expertise in Wips/Waps - Aruba's Wifi Solutions with Clearpass. Knowledge and/or working experience with cloud connectivity platforms such as Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute and AWS Direct Connect. Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewall platforms including Panorama and Prisma. Proficiency in software maintenance, major code upgrades, and adapting to emergency security patching on Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 platforms. Deep knowledge and experience with SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog tools for network monitoring. Demonstrating complex troubleshooting skills in an enterprise-wide network, especially in high-pressure situations. Ensuring accurate accounting for hardware and software licenses across multiple systems, minimizing discrepancies during vendor software audits. Responsible for the enterprise's cloud and telephony networking connectivity platforms, including AWS Direct Connect, Microsoft O365, Azure ExpressRoute, VoIP SIP trunking, and Unified Communications platforms. Managing network monitoring and troubleshooting platforms such as SolarWinds, AppNeta PathView, Opengear, Netscout, and Ixia. Supporting business resumption and disaster recovery strategies and managing the SDWAN contract with the Managed Service Provider and 3rd party consultants. Requirements: This position mandates a bachelor's degree and 10-12 years of experience in IT Operations or Systems Support, or equivalent work experience. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential for successful project delivery within budget and deadlines. Candidates should possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate, develop, and motivate others. Proficiency in generating clear and detailed written and verbal communication.
