Please review below JD. And share the resume. Job Description - its contract to hire role SR. Data Center Engineer [Downtown Dallas. Onsite] [12-month contract to hire] [On-site 5 days per week] Job Description As a Senior Data Center Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, implementation, and management of the organization's data center infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and maintenance of data center facilities, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize hardware, networking, and storage solutions, as well as contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Top 3 Technical Skills 1. Cisco ACI and F5 Load Balancing Experience. 2. Experience with Nexus Switching and Nexus Dashboard. 3. True Data Center Driven mindset. Additional Notes : Looking for a minimum of 6 years experience (preferably with lead or senior experience) Previous Government sector experience (highly preferred) Your day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to: Migration Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and goals for the data center migration. Develop comprehensive migration plans, timelines, and resource requirements. Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential challenges. Infrastructure Assessment: Assess the existing data center infrastructure, including hardware, networking, and storage components. Document current configurations, dependencies, and interdependencies. Migration Strategy and Solution Design: Design and propose migration strategies that align with business objectives. Identify and implement solutions for minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity during the migration process. Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, network, and application teams, to coordinate migration activities. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns. Execution and Implementation: Execute migration plans, including relocating physical equipment, transferring data, and configuring new infrastructure. Implement changes to network configurations and ensure connectivity between systems. Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of migrated systems to ensure functionality and performance. Validate data integrity and consistency post-migration. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, configurations, and changes made. Develop post-migration documentation for ongoing support and troubleshooting. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues that arise during the migration process promptly. Work collaboratively with technical teams to troubleshoot and optimize configurations. Post-Migration Support: Provide support and assistance to end-users and IT teams post-migration. Conduct post-migration reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Compliance and Security: Ensure that data center migration activities comply with relevant security and compliance standards. Collaborate with security teams to address and mitigate security risks.
