Performance Test Engineer working on our Cloud team

Location: Alpharetta, GA Hybrid

Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD, and H4-EAD

Duration- 6+ Months

As a Performance Test Engineer working on our Cloud team, you'll be part of an open, curious team of engineers, testers, and designers looking after the development, care, and keeping of our web-based products and services. You'll work with teammates to assess performance across the software stack: from front-end interactions to API management, to data and storage concerns, through deployment.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

Required 5 years scripting with various protocols in Performance Center / LRE

Experience in performance testing on could applications

Required 5 years' experience with VU Gen / Controllers / Analysis

Required experience with Load Runner / Performance Center / Load Testing tools

Solid Experience working with front end UI, XML, and Web Services technology (SOAP, JAXB, WSDL, XML).

Required experience with C++, C#, Python and .NET language (3 years)

Solid Experience in Database testing (Oracle, MYSQL, and/or Sybase)

Experience with at least 2 of the following .Net, C#, VC++, Java, Java Script. Perl

Experience developing and executing performance tests in an Azure-based Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Pipeline

Exposure to APM tools like Azure Monitor, Datadog, Dynatrace or App Dynamics

High Level Expertise in Technical/Troubleshooting

Ability to collaborate with engineers and testers, including participating in code reviews, working with version control systems such as Git, pairing when needed

Great Communications Skills

Solid Experience of Windows / Linux Administration

Desired:

Experience in Performance, Capacity, and Regression test procedures

Experience working with a distributed team (Cross-Team communications/workings (Ops/Dev/Project Mgt)

Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly DevOps

Knowledge of Agile and SDLC Methodology

Familiarity with Security Testing Process a plus

Mobile IOS/Android Automation Tools

Accountabilities

Provide application design, coding, compiling, testing and analysis of complex systems to ensure systems are compliant with requirements and can perform well in production

Analyze customer needs and develop software solutions in an Agile/Waterfall hybrid environment

Work with key business, technical teams and stakeholders to understand/clarify requirements and determine performance test scenarios

Develop and implement performance tests based on technical architecture of the assigned project

Develop performance test plans, test scripts and test data

Independently develop test scripts, create end-user scenarios and execute tests to verify system performance

Identify, report and manage defects in defect tracking system

Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for fixes

Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability

Develop reusable performance scripts by using different protocols including but not limited to web HTTP/HTTPS, SOAP/XML, RESET, OBDB, JDC, Web Socket and .NET

Support capacity planning activities

Establish and define performance baseline for a system under test

Analysis of test results to expose potential performance issues

Coordinate with other stakeholders to resolve performance problems and ensure customer satisfaction

Determine performance bottlenecks, Root cause analysis of poorly performing applications

Work with Performance Test Manager to enhance performance testing standards, technologies and approaches for performance testing

Qualifications

BS degree with computer science or engineering emphasis or equivalent; similar MS preferred.

5 years' experience in automation and performance tools and quality assurance processes. 5+ years experience in creating utilities or applying available tools for the benefit of self and others. Able to develop maintainable, high-quality, and efficient automated scripts or performance tests that meet requirements.

Proven testing skills demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality, complex projects on time, on budget, and to specification.

Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to discuss issues and concepts with technical and business personnel. Must be able to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals, including management, engineering, operations, project management, product management, and QA staff.

Ability to work through complex problems to reach a workable solution.

Knowledge of large complex systems of diverse technologies and functions.

Content expertise in the planning and execution of software testing, including hands-on testing and process improvement experience. 5+ years experience with applying multiple test methodologies.

Ability to work in multiple complex testing environments in order to test cross-platform impacts.

Demonstrated expertise in innovating solutions to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency.
