Collaborate with business analysts and system architects to understand application requirements and design effective solutions. Work with CICS to develop and enhance transaction processing systems and services. Manage and optimize VSAM files, ensuring data integrity and efficient access. Develop and maintain DB2 databases, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures. Work with IMS to design, develop, and maintain hierarchical databases and transaction processing systems. Perform debugging, testing, and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and accuracy of mainframe applications. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
