[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Title: Data Center Engineer Location: Fountain City SC (Remote) Duration: 6 months MOI: Video Must be local Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshooting server and data center hardware and software related issues and follow-up until they are solved Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on servers Setup and maintain VMware Fault Tolerance Install, configure and update on-prem servers and data center related hardware and software Monitor the availability of IT systems through existing portals and log/resolve/escalate issues Monitoring the performance of servers, data centers and backups to ensure they run efficiently, and troubleshooting any issues that arise Monitoring server storage capacity to ensure adequate space is available for new data Vendor negotiation, IT server/data center HW, SW and licenses procurement Monitor the environmental conditions of a data center to ensure they are optimum for servers, routers, and other devices Follow IT standards, processes and policies propose improvements of these Work in an international team and be part in a multicultural team Requirements: Proven work experience as a Servers Engineer or Data Center Engineer Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Fluent English and German language skills Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and process execution VMware and Microsoft Server certified PowerShell scripting knowledge Windows Server all versions, Microsoft Active Directory, Server hardware, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting Solid knowledge of MS SQL Extended knowledge of HPE servers and different enterprise level Storage solutions Strong VMware Fault Tolerance and Storage synchronization experience Accuracy with work, strong organizational skills and attention to details Ability to solve complex server and data center related hardware and software issues Willingness to travel 10% Keywords: information technology microsoft South Carolina |
