Job Role: Tax Manager Location: Overland Park, KS (Hybrid) Duration: Full Time Visa Mode Of Interview - Phone/Skype Note - Need LinkedIn Internal notes: 7 years experience minimum CPA License required Hybrid role of 3 in/2 out each week Manager Level bonus eligible Previous Management experience is not required, but the candidate would need to show strong mentoring and leadership ability/desire. Job Description: Overseeing and coordinating tax planning and projections for business clients and their owners Reviewing all types of tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners. Reviewing or completing tax research projects Gathering and preparing information for federal and state tax auditors Proactively communicating relevant emerging tax issues and industry information to clients Providing proactive advisory and consulting services Providing overall leadership, supervision, training and performance feedback to staff Identifying opportunities and recommends methods to improve service and work processes. Servicing consulting engagements with large private and public companies on an as needed project basis Creating new business opportunities by expanding existing client relationships, developing personal networks, and participating in industry and trade associations Requirements: Bachelors degree in accounting is required. Licensed CPA At least 8 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience Industry experience in real estate, construction, or manufacturing is considered a plus. Experience with planning, compliance, research and defense Requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Strong background and experience with Tax methodologies and techniques Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions. Strong time management and organizational skills.
