Position: Vertica DBA Location: Austin, TX/ Sunnyvale, CA DAY ON SITE LOCAL Duration: 12+ Months Contract We have a max rate of $57/hr on C2C from the client. Need Passport number Along with Submission. we are looking for only H1 B candidates. Must-Have: Vertica Admin with MySQL and Python Roles & Responsibilities Minimum 5+ years experience in Vertica and managing several multi-terabyte Vertica databases both on-prem and cloud. Expert Knowledge of Vertica Architecture - Vertica Enterprise and Vertica Eon. Expertise in installing/upgrading and maintaining 50+ Vertica environments. 5+ years experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization in Vertica which includes projections, partitions Maintained Vertica databases and assisted with regular OS patching. Troubleshoot and resolve Vertica issues for aggressive SLA needs in a production environment. Maintain database services, database monitoring and performance tuning, and resource management Enhance and add more tools for the automation of manual tasks for DBA activities - bash and python Experience in working in mission-critical production environments. Experience in working with database backup and recovery, and resolving production database incidents. MySQL : Expertise in MySQL 8. x administration and troubleshooting Hands-in upgrade and patching of MySQL databases Experience in setting up backups and Recovery. Education: At least a bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required.
