Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and address their requirements. Implement and maintain security protocols and access controls for Starburst environments. Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Optimize and fine-tune Starburst clusters for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages and automation tools. Implement backup and recovery strategies for Starburst workloads. Stay informed about the latest Starburst and AWS features, updates, and best practices. Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to integrate Starburst into broader AWS environments. Provide technical support and training to users of Starburst platform. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Starburst Administrator in an AWS environment. Strong proficiency in managing and optimizing Starburst clusters. Experience with Presto and related big data technologies. Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty certification is a plus.
