Position: Viewpoint Applications Manager Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: 6-12 Contract The Viewpoint Applications Manager oversees and manages the organization's use of Vista by Viewpoint. The Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the software tools and applications used by the Finance and Accounting teams are effective, efficient, customized and aligned with business objectives. This position has a dotted reporting line to the Chief Information Officer and partners with the IT Applications Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunlands CORES values at the forefront. Function as an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures. Thoroughly research and understand Viewpoints features and capabilities with an emphasis on the operational modules such as Job Cost and Equipment Management. Align Viewpoints system capabilities with Sunlands business goals, working closely with financial and operational leaders to understand their objectives and ensure Viewpoints use is aligned with these goals. Responsible for implementation and training of system for new acquisitions as requested by the finance team. Develop policies and procedures; keep accurate records and provide other technical writing as needed. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system set up issues promptly, looking for ways to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of the software. Evaluate current system set up and make recommendations based on system capabilities and market research. Assist in negotiating contracts and coordinate support with Viewpoints technical team and their approved third parties, ensuring Sunland gets the best value and support during interactions. Oversee end-user training to support the effective use of Viewpoint, coordinate user support services. Ensure Viewpoint use, functions and reporting capabilities are secure and compliant with industry and regulatory standards. Work with the CIO to implement any needed security and oversee compliance audits. Develop and manage operating budget. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees; the ability to decipher printed materials and computer screen images; the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; the ability to independently lift and carry supplies, files and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds; be ambulatory even in tight spaces; and have visual acuity sufficient to perform assigned duties. May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris. TRAVEL Occasional travel may be required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Work Experience Accredited bachelors degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Previous Viewpoint work experience and/or professional certification is required. Minimum of three (3) years IT experience at a managerial level. Vendor management experience is a plus. Collaborative, detail-oriented and accustomed to directly supporting end-users. Excellent communication skills and customer service skills required. Strong computer, written and verbal skills required. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite including MS 365; SharePoint and SQL knowledge is a bonus. Must have technical writing skills. Construction industry experience is required. Additional ERP experience is a plus. Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
