DR Strategy Development: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and refine disaster recovery strategies and plans for applications and infrastructure hosted on Azure. Automation: Implement automation for disaster recovery processes, ensuring rapid and efficient failover and failback procedures. Testing and Validation: Regularly conduct disaster recovery drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of the DR plan and make necessary improvements. Monitoring and Alerting: Set up monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to potential issues affecting the disaster recovery environment. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the disaster recovery architecture, processes, and procedures. Collaboration: Collaborate with infrastructure teams, security teams, and application owners to align disaster recovery efforts with overall IT and business strategies. Security Compliance: Ensure that disaster recovery solutions comply with security and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions on the Azure platform. Strong understanding of Azure services, including Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, and Azure Virtual Machines. Scripting and automation skills, with proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. Experience with configuration management tools and version control systems. Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in the context of disaster recovery. Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks related to disaster recovery planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) would be a plus.
