Position: Enterprise Network Engineer Location: Portland, Oregon (Onsite) Client: Portland Community College Interview Type: Video Job Description : Our client currently has three open positions for Network Engineers, each specializing in distinct components. Interested candidates should possess relevant expertise in the respective areas and a comprehensive understanding of network architecture and protocols. Route/Switch Firewall Wireless Kindly review the specified criteria below for the three components and indicate the one that aligns most suitably with your expertise and experience. Route/Switch: Short Description: Juniper network support for a large enterprise network. Certifications require baseline JNCIA / CCNA certification. This work includes, but not limited to: Physical Juniper device deployment. Physical cabling of UTP patch cables, fiber cables, and the configuration of Juniper switches and routers, including configuration of uplink ports, end-user ports, VLANs, firmware upgrades, manual upgrade processes and other critical services. Monitoring and management of systems through the command line or through Juniper Mist. Support can include troubleshooting of network issues with third party solutions, and familiarity with the switch/route environment for layer two and three protocols. Work shall also include installation and decommissioning of existing Juniper devices, unracking and racking of new network and data centre equipment. Reuse or replacement of UTP or fiber cables working with the network services team. All work will be on-site unless otherwise instructed. Specific required certifications will be identified on a task order by task order basis. Firewall: Short Description: Check Point Firewall support involves Network Firewall Technicians familiar with Check Point. Support and troubleshooting of High-Availability Cluster of Check Point Maestro Firewalls. May involve integration with route/switch environment through cabling (fiber and copper) or through network protocols such as OSPF and BGP. We desire for a baseline Check Point CCSA R80 certification requirement. Wireless: Short Description: Aruba Wireless support, Including AirWave, ClearPass and Aruba Central, as well as physical installation of access points based on directed parameters. Desire for a baseline ACMA certification. Extensive knowledge with Aruba Mobility Conductor (8.6 OS and above), Aruba ClearPass and Aruba Airwave Extensive knowledge with switching gear and POE standards. Comfortable using a ladder and proper mounting of access points. Extensive knowledge of wireless survey tools such as Ekahau and Netsot. Specific required certifications will be identified on a task order by task order basis.
