The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) is actively seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Functional Analyst with Data Quality Experience to play a critical role in ERS' data migration efforts. Reporting to the Enterprise Data Officer, this position requires a profound understanding of PeopleSoft functional intricacies and the ability to conduct root cause analysis for data quality challenges within ERS' migration from PeopleSoft to a new product.

General Description:

As the Senior PeopleSoft Functional Analyst with Data Quality Experience, the worker will lead root cause analysis efforts for data quality challenges encountered during ERS' transition to a new pension and benefits administration solution. Leveraging the worker's expertise in PeopleSoft functional modules, the worker will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and addressing these issues within the context of a large-scale migration.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

I.       Functional Responsibilities: Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

        The worker will utilize their extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft functional modules such as Payroll, BenAdmin, and Time and Labor to conduct thorough root cause analysis for data quality issues.

        Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, applying advanced skills to diagnose and resolve functional issues.

        Conduct root-cause analysis for data quality/integrity issues identified in the conversion process.

        Provide recommendations for remediating data quality issues, and strategies for maintaining data quality thresholds.

        Interpret PeopleCode and application engine logic to unravel complex system processes and uncover insights.

        Employ robust SQL skills to analyze data, identify data quality issues, and make recommendations for remediation.

II.      Policy Requirements:

        The worker is required to attend work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.

        Comply with all applicable agency policies and procedures, including safety and standards of conduct.

        The worker should dress appropriately for a business environment.

        Communicate respectfully and work harmoniously with all co-workers, customers, and vendors.

        Provide exceptional customer service.

        The worker should be flexible; able to work under pressure and adapt to change; and able to work on multiple problems and tasks.

        The worker is encouraged to take initiative to prevent and solve problems.

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALITICATIONS

Required Minimum Qualifications:

        A Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, economics, finance, library science, or a related business field, or equivalent experience.

        A minimum of 7 years performing functional analysis for PeopleSoft.

        A minimum of 5 years performing business analysis, data analysis, or analytics.

        Ability to conduct root cause analysis to address data quality and integrity issues.

        Good skills in reading and understanding PeopleCode and application engine logic.

        Exceptional SQL skills for data analysis and rectification during migration.

Preferred Qualifications/Nice to have:

        Experience using data governance tools, such as Alteryx or Informatica.

        Solid knowledge of Master Data Management, specifically in the Person domain.

        Familiarity with data governance frameworks (DAMA) and operating models is beneficial.
