We are actively seeking an adept Palo Alto networking contractor to augment our network security team. This contractor will collaborate closely with our security engineers, providing remote oversight and managing the Palo Alto firewalls. The primary responsibilities will encompass implementing day-to-day modifications and troubleshooting to enhance both the performance and security of the firewalls. This documentation serves as a comprehensive resource for qualified candidatesreferred to ascandidates" hereafterproviding vital insights into Boyd Gaming Corporation and its associated subsidiaries (collectively known as "Boyd"). It contains imperative information necessary for Suppliers to formulate a response to the RFP. Scope The contractor will be responsible for the following: Managing and monitoring Palo Alto firewalls models 3000, 5000, 5200, VM300 remotely Developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting firewall policies and rules Configuring and maintaining firewall features such as App-ID, User-ID, SSL decryption, URL filtering Implementing firewall best practices for security and performance Utilizing tools like Panorama, CLI, packet capture, and expedition for management and troubleshooting Setting up highly available active/passive and active/active firewalls Integrating firewalls with Cisco ISE/ACS for user authentication Creating and applying shared objects, templates, and profiles across devices Scripting changes to automate firewall policy management. Generating reports on firewall traffic, events, capacity, and more Documenting all firewall changes, issues, and resolutions Required Skills and Experience: 8+ years experience with Palo Alto firewalls Expert-level knowledge of Palo Alto OS, Panorama, CLI Proficiency with firewall networking protocols like OSPF, BGP, multicast Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls in large enterprise environments. Expertise with Palo Alto features like User-ID, App-ID, SSL decryption, Global Protect Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Self-driven, with ability to work independently and remotely.
