Job Title: SQL DBA with AWS Location: Kansas City, MO (HYBRID) Duration: 06+ Month Contract to Hire NEED GC or USC Only MUST HAVE: Develop and lead implementation of database monitoring, operational processes and procedures/standards that will continually improve the operation of the whole environment. Lead and develop best practices for troubleshooting and resolving database infrastructure problems, using native monitoring and third-party tools. Conduct advanced analysis of index and statistics needs and provide recommendations on improvements needed to Sr. Leadership. Collaborate with technical teams on the appropriate database design for Engineers database-related solutions for various projects and operational needs Design secure solutions and create implementation and support models for Cloud and Hybrid technologies. Set strategy and expectations for ETL (extract, transform, load) best practices in the creation of the database Mentors and coaches less experienced associates on best practices. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience At least 5 years of Postgres server management, build, configuration and support work experience. 3 years experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) In-depth knowledge of IT standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures relies on knowledge, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for purposes of communicating with non-technical and technical teams and Sr. Executive Leaders. Ability to provide technical leadership and guide a team of engineers. Excellent organizational, project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Code writing skills in one or more of the following languages: T-SQL, Python, Ansible, Powershell.
