Tableau Business Intelligence and User Support Specialist USC/GC Windsor Mill, MDAll On-site (Local Candidate) Client- leidos is client >10 years of experience+ years required Job Description Key Required Skills: Tableau BI which includes providing operational and technical support services to our user community. Technical support includes assisting users with troubleshooting, and providing advice and guidance for using Tableau Desktop, and Server Position Description: Provide Tableau operational and technical support services to our user community. Technical support includes assisting users with troubleshooting, and providing advice and guidance for using Tableau desktop, server and Prep. Provide non-technical support to our user community. Activities include varied aspects of tool administration, documentation development and management, maintaining user-oriented communications / information (SharePoint sites, Knowledge libraries, and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)). Develop and maintain Tableau processes and procedures, best practices, and technically based guidance for Tableau and Tableau Prep. Prepare and conduct presentations or training sessions on non-technical and technical topics to the user community. All other duties as assigned or directed. Skills Requirements: Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. 8+ years of experience with analysis, design and developing systems using skills identified in this requirement. Required Skills Experience building complex reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau or similar tools such as WebFOCUS, MS Power BI, or similar tools. Experience in the creation and use of visualizations and conducting data analysis. Critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to work independently or collaboratively is required. Thorough understanding of data warehouse techniques (dimensional models and aggregation techniques). Experience with Tableau Server configuration and maintenance of project, group security, and permissions). Experience writing advanced SQL queries and designing data models in Greenplum, Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and DB2. IT customer service experience providing user support to include providing technical support/resolutions and direction on non-technical aspects of the software use at SSA. Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical/business stakeholders and conversely, communicate business information to a technical audience. Experience in adapting to changing environments. Candidate must be willing to exercise patience and be able to adapt and respond to rapidly changing priorities while maintaining a respectful and positive attitude with team members and stakeholders. Experience in conducting training sessions or facilitating business presentations such as user groups. Possess the ability to drive insights into actions that improve the teams service delivery or user experience. Desired Skills Working knowledge of Tableau Prep. Working knowledge of WebFOCUS 9, SharePoint and using Microsoft Teams as a documentation repository and communications channel with stakeholders. Experience in requirement elicitation and documentation. Experience conducting validation and/or user acceptance testing.
