Position: Application Production Support Manager Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA *financial experience *no job hoppers (short term project work) *asset management/investment management experience *will work PST hours The Application Production Support Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating Infrastructure and business projects from a technology perspective, ensuring that infrastructure development activities are consistent with clients internal best practices and standards. The candidate will also be an escalation point of contact for application support issues, and is required to be able to handle challenging issues related to supporting various applications and systems. You will support our Investment Management client based in San Francisco. Excellent collaboration with internal teams, vendors and driving resolution. Responsibilities: Provide support for the efficient resolution of IT infrastructure related incidents, service requests and update service desk management systems accordingly. Develop and maintain documentation process of ongoing operations and administration of infrastructure and application run books. Serve as a liaison between infrastructure operations and the vendors to address performance issues or problem analysis and see them through to resolution Coordinate performance analysis, recommendations, and improvements for both infrastructure and applications Enforce adherence to architectural standards and corporate policies. Responsible for responding to application support escalations which involve troubleshooting technical issues and resolving data/configuration issues Collaborate with multiple internal teams across disparate groups to resolve end user issues. Collaborate with peers on complex projects as required (e.g. office and data center projects, application upgrades, etc.) Create/maintain documentation for operational procedures as required Basic Qualifications: (required) Bachelors Degree required or consider years of experience and/or certifications in lieu of degree 6+ years of hands-on experience with application support and deployments. 4 + years of experience with the following: Production support Azure hybrid, on/off prem cloud services Site resilience engineer Dynatrace Monitoring (observability tool) Investment Management, Brokerage, Asset Management industry Hands-on with service ticket management systems (ServiceNow, ConnectWise, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with monitoring tools (Solarwinds, ScienceLogic, Argent, etc) Experience in writing scripts (Powershell, javascript, etc.) and SQL queries (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, etc.) Experience with JIRA, Confluence and planning tools Microsoft .net development experience Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle experience PowerShell scripting experience Experience with Configuration Management and DevOps tools Strong organizational, documentation, metric and trend analysis reporting skills and desire for continuous process improvements Keywords: information technology California |
