Job Description:- Job Role:- Power BI Developer Location:- Colorado(Remote) Contract Position Summary Our client, who is in the government space, is looking for a Power BI Developer who will assist the team in developing dashboards that enable informed decision-making. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for optimizing data utilization by creating interactive dashboards that provide operational insights to aid staff, answer questions, and trigger actions to drive operations The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and bring a modern approach to visual work. Responsibilities Work closely with stakeholders, larger team, subject matter experts (SMEs), and BAs to collectively own the outcome of projects. Engage in open communication, actively participating in discussions and reviews to improve deliverables. Leverage your expertise in formula development and visualization techniques to enhance data representation. Take standard visuals to the next level, demonstrating a modern approach to data visualization. Propose and implement creative solutions to overcome limitations in Power BI, ensuring the delivery of impactful dashboards. Develop and implement custom visuals in Power BI or program in Python to enhance the richness of dashboards. Explore opportunities for statistical modeling using R or Python, while maintaining a balance between depth and visual representation. Collaboratively iterate with staff and team members Seek and incorporate dashboard feedback from staff Enhance data supply through systems like PMweb, Google Cloud Platform, data marts Minimum Experience Based in US, preferably in MST Core availability from 9am to 4pm MT, Monday to Thursday Excellent communication and group facilitation skills Experience in an engineering and/or construction project environment Experience working in an agile environment with iterative deliverable review/refine cycles 2 years of experience with Microsoft Power BI Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a focus on advanced dashboard technology. Strong skills in data modeling, formula development, and visualization techniques. Proficiency in creating custom visuals and programming in Python. Familiarity with statistical modeling using R or Python. Experience working with large data sets and optimizing data marts. Experience in User Experience (UX) design Proficient in Google Workspace collaboration tools Experience with Lucidchart software platform Experience with website content management in support of engaging staff in the development and use of dashboards Additional Plus Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools. Familiarity with geolocation integration, particularly with ESRI.
