Notes: This is a SDET/Automation Developer, that is building out test tools for the Development teams to utilize not someone who is a pure Tester. They do need to have at least a strong fundamental C# understanding, if they dont have any project work with it. If they are completely new to C#, it wont work. Our client a leading provider of Automotive infotainment, is seeking an SDET - Embedded Systems Developer. You will be joining a team of Software Development and Test Tools Support engineers for in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket products. With a focus on Test Tools Development, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers. What youll do: Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software. Maintain current software architecture and develop new solutions Responsible for the creation, definition, implementation and leadership of the framework strategy Prepare estimates and track development progress Ability to mentor and recruit junior test engineers Support and development of internal software development and test tools and automated frameworks What youll need: BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired. Expertise in software design 5+ years Proficiency with embedded software development on C or C++ Proficiency with C# Test automation infrastructure and framework development experience Knowledge of Ruby or Python is a plus Experience in development of PC based SW tools for communication with external devices/controllers (via UART,SPI,2IC,RS232) Strong comprehension of Automated Testing Implementation and Strategies Strong understanding of all test fundamentals, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test management tools, and defect tracking tools Experience with Git Familiarity with software testing of user interface or communication protocols. Experience in software testing Experience in software development and test automation Application of software development life cycle concept. Must Haves: This is an SDET/Automation Developer, that is building out test tools for the Development teams to utilize. Will be expected to write custom embedded C++ code during the interview.
