Role: Subject Matter Expert in Student Information Systems Location: Remote work but the consultant has to be able to work EST. Client location is Albany, New York 3 references are required. Our client is embarking on a transformative journey to enhance our administrative processes, and the Student Information System (SIS) is a key component of this initiative. Therefore, we are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Student Information Systems to lead the redesign and optimization of our SIS. This role will be pivotal in aligning our technology resources with our strategic business objectives, ensuring operational efficiency, and improving the overall student experience. Key Responsibilities: SIS Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the transformation of our Student Information System, in alignment with the institution's overarching business goals. Process Improvement: Collaborate with academic and administrative stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement through the SIS. Streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Requirements Alignment: Ensure that the new SIS aligns seamlessly with the institution's business requirements, enabling effective decision-making and resource allocation Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure the smooth adoption of the new SIS across various business units. Provide training and support to staff to maximize their proficiency with the system. Data-Driven Insights: Leverage the SIS to provide actionable data-driven insights to inform business decisions, including enrollment management, resource allocation, and student engagement strategies. Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Ensure that the SIS complies with data privacy regulations and industry standards. Implement robust data security measures and risk mitigation strategies. Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes to identify and address any operational issues or inefficiencies within the system Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of SIS-related business processes, requirements, and outcomes. Generate regular reports for stakeholders to track progress and performance. Qualifications: Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Subject Matter Expert in Student Information Systems, with experience in the implementation of a modern SIS for a large public or private university Proven ability to align technology solutions with strategic business objectives. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
