| Position: Ansible Developer Location: Remote Experience: Mid to senior level Client: IOPEX Technologies Visa: Any Independent candidates Duration: Long term contract Overview: As an Ansible Developer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions using Ansible. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline and optimize IT processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in system administration, scripting, and automation, with a focus on Ansible. Key Responsibilities: Ansible Automation: Design, develop, and implement Ansible playbooks for the automation of routine system administration tasks. Collaborate with system architects and administrators to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Ansible to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, allowing for the consistent and repeatable provisioning of infrastructure components. Maintain version-controlled Ansible codebase and documentation. System Integration: Integrate Ansible with existing systems, tools, and APIs to enhance overall automation capabilities. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of Ansible solutions. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve issues in Ansible automation scripts and playbooks. Optimize existing automation processes for improved performance and reliability. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, developers, and security personnel, to understand automation requirements and objectives. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Ansible scripts, playbooks, and infrastructure configurations. Provide training and support to other team members on Ansible best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a system administrator or automation engineer with a focus on Ansible. Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and best practices. Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration tools. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Ansible certification(s). Experience with other automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Terraform). Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
