Oracle / GL not necessary - QA ETL Tester with ORACLE General Ledger Experience Job Description of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Develop, design, and execute the test cases to test the end-to-end data flow in the existing data warehouse architecture 2. Participate and assist in requirement analysis and design Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures 3. Organizing and maintaining documentation of test results 4. Reviews test results to ensure the entirety of requirements both from a functional and technical standpoint are covered as per business needs and is willing to provide necessary feedback to the involved project stakeholders 5. Interacts with development engineers, business analysts and internal support groups Job Accountabilities: 1. Involved in the initial project planning and design phase, understanding the scope of the project requirements 2. Identify the scope, test scenarios, test cases, test approach, the overall test coverage, requirement gaps and potential risks 3. Writes detailed test strategies and plans, making full use of different test estimation techniques in assessing best balance of coverage and efficiency for a project 4. Writes detailed test SQL scripts to test the core technical functionality of the proposed database tables from the mapping requirement document 5. Ensures requirements traceability and identifies areas for improvement 6. Preparation and management of test data conditions 7. Focus on solution-oriented approach and able to identify complete end to end testing needs involving multiple parts of a product and system 8. Manages the validation test phase including executing scripts, monitoring testers, logging and tracking problems found, and regression testing any changes made to the system 9. Document and maintain QA test process and procedures and create a repository of test documentation Troubleshooting errors found in the test environment with minimal help from Development teams 10. Analyze defects functionally and technically before assigning them to Development teams 11. Support project managers and other stakeholders to complete projects within schedule, without compromising testing quality 12. Raise Jira issues to right levels of management using established channels of escalation Qualifications: Overall 8+ years of experience as Quality Assurance testing or relevant experience development Must have ETL Testing experience with Advanced SQL skills to validated business requirements and Source to target data mapping with data warehouse Good to have Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, Azure Data Lake Good to have ORACLE financials platform with operating system architecture Hands on Experience with Automation is preferred Experience in working with Test Management Tools and Defect Management Tools like JIRA /Confluence Experience working with customers/business users on Financial Domain BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience in software testing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good conceptual understanding of the General Ledge process and Electronic Funds Transfers Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate analyses of topics of discussions and conclusions of discussions or meetings, including the ability to lead others effectively in a meeting or call Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to use sound judgment in communications with management and organizational project stakeholders Self-motivated with the ability to work in both independent and team environments Regards, Vijay Kumar | Lead Recruiter Trail Blazer Consulting LLC | Astoria, NY 11105 Office: 914-650-4600 Ext: 148 Keywords: quality analyst New York |
