You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, create technical specifications, and implement solutions that meet both functional and technical objectives. Your expertise in Liferay development will play a critical role in delivering high-quality products to our clients. Responsibilities: Liferay Development: Design, develop, and customize Liferay-based web applications and portals using Liferay Portal and associated technologies. Technical Solutions: Work closely with business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Plugin Development: Develop and integrate custom Liferay plugins, themes, layouts, and portlets to extend the platform's functionality and meet specific project needs. Front-end Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user interfaces and design elements with Liferay applications. Integration with Enterprise Systems: Integrate Liferay applications with other enterprise systems, such as databases, CRM, ERP, and third-party applications, to facilitate data exchange and streamline processes. Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance optimization techniques to ensure efficient and scalable Liferay applications. Security and Quality Assurance: Implement security best practices and conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and security of Liferay applications. Documentation: Create technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and user guides. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Liferay applications during the development and post-implementation phases. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest Liferay developments, trends, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and outcomes. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in development. Minimum of 4 years of that experience in Liferay development, including plugin development, portlet development, and theme development. Liferay Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Liferay Portal and its associated technologies, such as Liferay Service Builder, Liferay APIs, Liferay AlloyUI, Liferay Themes, and Liferay Hooks. Web Development: Proficiency in web development technologies, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery. Database: Experience with database design and SQL, preferably with knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL. Integration Skills: Familiarity with integrating Liferay applications with enterprise systems and third-party applications through web services, APIs, and RESTful interfaces. Quality and Security: Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles and security best practices for web application development.
