Platform as a Service (PaaS) Platform Engineer/Administrator 6 months+ Location-Windsor Mill, MDAll On-site USC/GC Job Description Skills Requirements: Key Required Skills: RHEL 6/7/8 installation, configuration, server patching and upgrading experience, RHEL Ansible Playbook design, development, and maintenance. Docker and Kubernetes experience. Extensive REHL problem analysis and troubleshooting experience. Basic Qualifications: This experience is the foundation a candidate needs to be successful in this position: 7 years of experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6.x/7.x/8.x Operating System 7 years of experience Administer/Optimize/Secure Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6.x/7.x/8.x 5 years of experience working with Ansible Playbooks and Ansible Tower 5 years of experience (architecture) with PaaS infrastructure based on Docker and Kubernetes 5 years of experience managing image repositories in support of Docker Containers 3 years of experience with OpenShift Container Platform Expertise in the Linux command-line environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green card holder) Required Skills: Skills and ability to create custom Docker Containers Skills and ability to manage image repositories in support of Docker Containers Skills and ability to deploy PaaS solutions based on open-source software and industry best practices Skills and ability to automate Docker application builds using industry standard tools Skills and ability to automate the creation of PaaS infrastructure using industry standard tools such as Ansible Automation and Red Hat CloudForms Skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues within a PaaS infrastructure. Desired Skills: Knowledge of the architecture of Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure based on Docker and Kubernetes Knowledge of the architecture of PaaS infrastructure in a hybrid Cloud environment Knowledge, skills and abilities to deploy OpenShift Container Platform in both public and private cloud. Knowledge, skills and abilities to automate the creation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and PaaS infrastructures using industry standard tools such as Ansible, Ansible Tower and other automation technologies. Prior Federal government experience Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts and isn't afraid to volunteer in a dynamic work environment. Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.
