Our innovative and growing company is looking for a network lead. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.

Responsibilities for network lead

Key contributor to the development and implementation of the Maine strategic business plan

Lead network services team members in daily tasks, including daily distribution of tasks

End-to-end trouble isolation and repair on physical and logical layer services

Strong switch, router, modem knowledge and ability to setup, configure the devices upgrade firmware

Participates on team providing monitoring activities, analysis, and response to Maine proposed legislation

Takes lead role in the coordination for the planning and development of a Maine/NH cross border regional contracting strategy

Under general supervision, manages the daytoday activities of the Network Operations Center (NOC).

Manage and report team authorized service interruptions (ASI), Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and resolving problematic network supporting hardware, software, and other issues

Identify and create strategic vision to support a 99.999% available network architecture, high network redundancy, perfect network resiliency, and network integrity

Ensures effective and efficient operation of network systems, architecture and topology through deployment and oversight of network

Operations specialists, that all operating systems are adequate, functional, and conform to operation security policies and procedures

Assists with the development and application of business processes to ensure appropriate service levels

Develops and implements standards, procedures, and processes for the NOC

Qualifications for network lead

Ability to work well with other groups to plan, design, and implement work

A minimum of 10 years experience performing

3+ years of tooling and automation development supporting zero touch and power-on auto provisioning

Strong understanding of infrastructure protocols (BGP, IS-IS, VRRP, OSPF , IPSEC,MPLS TE), IP addressing and application protocols (HTTP/S, LDAP, SNMP)

Experience in Cisco SD-WAN solution.

Experience with Netbrain , automation , splunk , akips.

Versed in a variety of hardware and software manufacturers, and a high degree of comfort and experience in mixed vendor environments Cisco, Juniper, Nokia.

Expert level knowledge in all the support tools required to support such environments, dig, host, nslookup, tcpdump, wireshark etc
