Title: QA Analyst Location: Urbana, MD Duration: 12+Months Experience: 7+ Years Note: Please do not submit OPT, CPT & H4 Job Description: Provides business and requirements analysis, communications, and documentation services to the organization. Creates detailed test plans to allow for comprehensive regression testing to identify bugs or issues before a system is implemented in production. Plans should be detailed enough to be used as a guide to create automated testing scripts. Works with team to develop test scripts. Designs, develops, and executes detail-oriented test scripts and test cases using test plans and project specifications. Reports defects found in testing diligently, promptly, and accurately. Reports test progress against schedules. Provides a test summary report that reflects the quality attributes of the software under test. Acts as a liaison between product owners and the Information Technology (IT) department. Assists in automating repetitive testing processes. Assists in testing and user validation of solutions before implementation. Assists business stakeholders with transforming customer needs from IT systems into effective functional requirements. Contributes to and documents non-functional requirements, particularly those related to transforming software applications into viable commercial products. Helps with management and development of IT strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for software products and systems to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. Helps develop and establish operating policies and approaches for computing and IT. Maintains a working knowledge of procedures, such as the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), project management, change control, and configuration management. Participates in IT software development and management meetings. Exercises discretion and works independently. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to participate in and lead group meetings.
