Based on a close and effective relationship with both business stakeholders and IT subject matter experts, the BSA helps the company find effective and efficient ways to achieve important business outcomes through the use of technology. The work of the BSA will include addressing both functional business needs and non-functional needs such as cybersecurity, retirement of legacy debt, and transition to sustainable technology architectures. The BSA will create business cases and collaborate in the creation of roadmaps and similar large-scale plans. This position also works to create a variety of work products, such as functional specifications, that will be used to guide development and implementation. This position works closely with division business partners, IT project teams, and IT leaders. The BSA applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help TriMet make good technology decisions and optimize business processes. Requirements and Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required. 4+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience Transit industry experience would be nice to have, but not required. Must have strong EAMS (Enterprise Asset Management System) experience. Perform requirements gathering and validation using appropriate methods including interviews, joint application design sessions, analysis, current system documentation, business process modeling (including rules and logic), and data gathering and analysis. Work closely with IT and business stakeholders including managers, directors, and subject matter experts from the business and enterprise architects, developers, engineers, and cybersecurity specialists, to create IT roadmaps for the planned achievement of complex, long-range technology goals.
