| From: KARUPPASAMY M, INFINITY QUEST [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] POSITION :Sr. Data Engineer LOCATION :Denver,CO ( REMOTE ) 9+ EXPERIENCE Responsibilities: This is a senior technical contributor and developer role that requires a very good understanding of cloud architecture and highly scalable data workflows. The ideal candidate is very capable of high-quality work against technical and schedule challenges while following strong software design and process principles. We believe a candidate with strong data warehousing experience could do the job, though specially our ecosystem is Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, and Domo (not required). What you will do: Design, develop and deliver company-wide solutions responsible for managing large volumes of data Ensure solutions are developed based on a high-quality, cloud-first scalable architecture. Support analysis and visualization of data for various stakeholders. Serve as a senior member of the project scrum team and follow industry best practice software development processes. Act as a technical mentor for other data platform developers Efficiently handle ambiguity and multiple competing priorities. Actively maintain an awareness of competitive and complementary technologies. Provide input to the team regarding implementation limitations and suggest alternate approaches. Create modular, reliable, efficient, and readable code that adheres to Client standards. Produce and maintain accurate design documentation and code comments. Design and implement developer tests to ensure software conforms to requirements Effectively manage time to achieve personal and team goals in an agile development environment Effectively employ written and verbal communications to collaborate with business ownership, product management, engineering and research team members Demonstrate a positive and ethical work style. Key Requirements: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable field. 6+ years' solid commercial experience designing and building cloud-based solutions Detailed knowledge of challenges related to capturing and processing of high volumes of data including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Working knowledge of at least one commercial or open-source data pipeline/platform Experience with data visualization tools Experienced and comfortable working within an Agile Environment. Ability to identify and mitigate risks in a large project and engage clearly with platform clients High-level written and verbal communication in both general and technology-specific applications Experience or solid theoretical understanding of data workflows including: Ingestion Batch and stream processing Storage and archiving Visualization/Reporting and Dashboards Machine learning (Good to have) Problem-solving and debugging skills |
