| Technical Writer/Editor(10+ years) Location: Remote, United States Visa: USC & GC only Position Type: Contract Required Education: Bachelors in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. Required Experience: 10 Years Substitution Criteria: 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education The Technical Writer/Editor will review documents, compile inputs/corrections, resolve incompatible comments, and provide final publishable documentation. They will be ensuring they are 508 compliant and editing as needed to make it compliant. They will organize and prepare information and data for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications requiring in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and allied fields. The Technical Writer/Editor will also work with end users to gather information and convert it into written narrative and documents. You Have: 10 years of experience in editing/writing and explaining highly technical data and information in simplistic grade school language for end users of complex IT systems and projects. Experience with 508 compliance Experience in gathering, preparing and distributing technical meeting minutes or working session notes that clearly articulate attendance, discussion topics and action items/outcomes. Expert Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Experience in the application a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools. Able to provide documentation that will be able to easily understand and provide documentation that can be used for training purposes Must have experience in meeting with authors and other team representatives to review documents, compile inputs/corrections, resolve incompatible comments, and provide final publishable documentation.
