QA Specialist Project Scope

The QA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality transformation activities and services for the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing, analyzing, and identifying issues in software applications, as well as a strong understanding of software development methodologies, training development and best practices. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing system training programs and materials for our organization, including course outlines, presentations, and handouts. The QA Specialist will work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify and analyze training needs, develop, and deliver training programs, and measure training effectiveness.

QA Specialist Mandatory Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and development of software applications and providing feedback and recommendations to improve software quality and reliability.

Proficiency in analyzing business and functional documents, writing and executing test plans, test scripts, test scenarios, and test cases.

Proven ability to conduct software testing activities including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing.

Strong documentation skills in software defects or program functions and tracking their resolution. Candidate will be required to resolve pending issues and prepare effort estimation and conduct all aspects of testing: functional, regression, integration, and performance.

Ability to define project scope and technical specifications, set clear goals and expectations, prioritize activities, facilitate the collection of technical, operational or business requirements, set milestones and follow through to successful completion.

Experience delivering training sessions to individuals and groups, including classroom and online sessions.

Proficiency in designing training materials, including course outlines, presentations, and handouts.

Ability to create interactive and engaging training content, including e-learning modules, videos, and simulations.

Expertise in delivering training sessions to individuals and groups, including classroom and online sessions.

Strong experience in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of training programs and providing feedback to stakeholders.

Proven expertise in developing and maintaining a system training curriculum and ensuring that all materials are current.

Able to multitask, be proactive in project planning and requirements gathering, set and maintain multiple priorities.

Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with people regardless of their technical skill set. 

QA Specialist Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.

Proficiency in using QA tools and technologies, such as test management tools, defect tracking systems, and automated testing frameworks. Experience writing scripts for automated tools like QTP, Selenium, Test Complete, etc.

Expertise in delivering training sessions to individuals and groups, including classroom and online sessions.

:

The QA Specialist is a critical role within the organization that involves testing, analyzing, and identifying issues in software applications. Additionally, the role includes designing and implementing system training programs and materials for the organization, collaborating closely with various stakeholders and subject matter experts to address specific training needs.

Objective

:

The objective of the QA Specialist is to ensure that software applications meet or exceed quality standards. This is achieved through the design and implementation of testing plans, procedures, and scripts. The specialist is also tasked with developing and maintaining test cases, plans, and scripts for software applications. The QA Specialist conducts software testing activities that include functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, and tracks software defects and issues using bug tracking tools. The Specialist is further responsible for improving the QA process and testing methodologies to boost product and service quality.

As part of the training objectives, the specialist works to identify, develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs, ensuring the creation of engaging and up-to-date training materials. The QA specialist is tasked with creating interactive and engaging training content, including e-learning modules, videos, and simulations.

Deliverables

 The QA Specialist is accountable for delivering the following:

A comprehensive test plan, complete with test cases, scripts, and a testing schedule.

A User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plan to ensure that software applications meet user needs.

Detailed and up-to-date documentation related to QA processes, procedures, and testing activities.

Interactive and engaging training content, including e-learning modules, videos, and simulations.

Delivery of engaging and interactive training sessions to individuals and groups, both in the classroom and online. Output includes e-learning modules, videos, and stimulations.

Evaluation and measurement reports on the effectiveness of training programs, providing actionable feedback to stakeholders.
