Job Role: Business Systems Analyst Work Location: Remote Duration: 12 month contract to hire Visa only UC & GC Description: The Adobe products that would be helpful in this role are Adobe AEP, Real time CDP and experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). What is the specific title of the position Business System Analyst (BSA) What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment The BSA will work on a program that will consolidate all Optum Store Consumer Communications into a central organization and platform. Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team The BSA is an independent contributor that will participate on a more broad team, but leading work within the program. What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position 1) Understand and document the business requirements based on the customers needs. This includes understanding and evaluating the request, the business process or use case, and general system capabilities a. Determine operational objectives by defining business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats b. Analyze large amounts of data and business processes to form ideas and solutions to fix the problem i. Ensure business rules are clearly defined ii. Ensure metrics are clear and have supporting data iii. Ensure metrics are measurable iv. Ensure requirement collection is standardized - Data Selection or Transformations (including Table Joins) v. Ensure Data Governance standards are incorporated 2) Research and gain a high-level understanding of Data Elements and Sources a. Define the source of data type of ingestion, relationships, tables, variables, and transformations that may be needed b. Become a SME in how the data will be used and how it functions c. Test Data Profiling and Creation 3) Presentation and Handoff to IT a. Create and ensure that artifacts are complete per the business and the artifact is ready for review with IT teams to begin the Solutioning phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). b. Presenting ideas and findings in meetings c. Create process flows to simplify hand off from business to IT resources 4) QA/UAT and Operational Readiness a. Develop QA and User Acceptance Plan (UAT) and Testing in coordination project and business leads b. Issue resolution - Proactively troubleshoot data quality issues by identifying the root cause of data discrepancies and determining and implementing recommendations for resolution 5) Work with business counterparts on operational readiness activities to ensure that necessary training and procedure updates have occurred What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities MS Office toolset. SQL query tools, JSON What skills/attributes are a must have Bachelor's degree 3+ years of experience leading data related initiatives (system integration, data warehouse build, data mart builds or related) and a proven track record of exceeding expectations on this initiatives Ability to write/understand complex SQL queries involving advanced unions, joins, aggregations, and groups 3+ years of business analyst experience 3+ years of QA/UAT experience What skills/attributes are nice to have ETL experience Experience with Healthcare data Experience with marketing or reporting capabilities Strong Communication skills Project management experience What are the work hours (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc.). Must be flexible to work across time zones. Tends to start earlier due to dealing with CST, EST time zones. What does the interview process look like a. How many rounds 1-2 Rounds after vetting by Contracted staff b. Video vs. phone Phone c. How technical will the interviews be Primarily around business requirement gathering and conversion to technical requirements, but also to prove out ability to write/understand SQL.
