Role: Java Backend Developer Location: Middletown, Rhode Island Exp:9 yrs Role Description This is a contract role for a Java Backend Developer in Warwick, RI. As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex web applications and application components that can be utilized by other teams in other applications, as well as, collaborating with other teams and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing SQL/NoSQL databases and optimizing back-end services for maximum speed and scalability. Qualifications A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or relevant experience 5+ years of experience with software development in Java and J2EE technologies such as JMS, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Hibernate, and Spring Framework Strong experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases and writing efficient queries and stored procedures Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git Familiarity with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, and RESTful Web Services Experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication and interpersonal skills Experience working independently in a fast-paced team environment Keywords: information technology golang Rhode Island |
