Job Title : Scala Developer Location : Remote Duration: 12+ Months Client : Experian - Orange County Interview Process: Video Job Description: Strong working experience on Scala Programming ( Not sufficient to have limited Scala knowledge with spark or Hadoop) Strong working experience on AWS Services ECS, EKS, AWS Batch, AWS Glue, Lambda, Cloudwatch, Athena & Quicksight Strong knowledge on containerization, Docker, ECR, Cloud deployment Good to have Python or Java knowledge and working experience. Good to have Kafka knowledge. Good to have Terraform Knowledge Good to have infra structure understanding on the cloud services. Willing to learn new technologies and explore the new skill set Ability to pick up new skills quickly. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. MANAGER NOTES: Project Scope : Online Notification Services Development of new services in Scala No REST API experience wont be building APIs. Jenkins pipeline, CICD only code base pipeline, not data pipelines AWS services already in place, deploying and leveraging current services. Setup Lambda functions Any language they are comfortable, Python. Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): Scala programming with Spark features AWS build CICD on ECS and EKS Glue jobs (Need experience with AWS Glue in order to do the job effectively. They will be writing Scala code into AWS glue) Scala programming in Glue Lambda to initiate the Glue job. Cloud Watch Aetna Quicksight. Kafka Terraform to deploy the jobs. Java or Python Nice-to-Haves: Team is handling large volume of data, need to optimize way of reading data from the tables. Big Data experience is a plus.
